Seeing as how I have probably learned more on my own than I have in class this semester, I'm going to go with accept responsibility for your own learning as the easiest. This is especially true if I can get really motivated about a topic. I like to follow up and expand on things that other people bring up.
Viewing problems as challenges is something I find very. . . well, challenging. This is especially true of school work I find uninteresting. I know that it would save me a lot of time and grief if I viewed everything as a learning experience and dove right in, however I tend to wait until the last minute to do things that don't excite me. I keep telling myself that things don't get any easier if I keep putting them off, and guess what, it seems to be working.

Like you friend, I'm a last-minute connoisseur. However, with really exciting techie stuff (like this training), I find that I’m just more aware of related information, even when I’m not at work. With boring topics or stuff that just isn’t very interactive (i.e. lectures), I quickly loose that information and fail to see their presence in the larger picture. Obviously this is of interest to you because you registered on the first possible day. I will take that as a compliment. :)
